The box arrived a bit torn up, but the contents were safe. Assembly took time, but no problems. This thing is built like a tank. We have twin baby boys, so getting out to do other workouts is about impossible. A good problem to have, though. This meets our needs to stay vital, especially through the winter months of Ohio.

I have always liked these bikes!!! Only thing I can't remedy is the saddle swivels. I have fybromyalgia and RA. When I'm stiff and not very flexible and in pain I know I've missed my rides. The fluidity and low-no impact is very helpful to these conditions. The key IS the overall movement. I also have horses and it helps me to be able to keep riding them as well! It only takes a few times a week to make a big difference for me anywhere between 20-40 minutes each time.

My son, the engineer, had screws left over after he followed the assembly directions. The wind blades torque at high speeds and are clipping the housing. We haven't got that solved yet. Eventually, I think this going to be a great work out tool.

My husband had knee surgery the end of June so the low impact is great. The Airdyne is useful for anyone with problem feet or knees. Before I hated to go for a walk or work out, now I don't hesitate to ride for at least 15 min almost every day. I have no complaints.

This is our second swinn airdyne. We are serving a mission for our church and needed something we could do a 20 minute overall exercise routine. We loved our Swinn at home so purchased a cheap substitute hoping it would last. It was completely destroyed/unusable after about 6 weeks of use. We ordered an airdyne. Overall, the Airdyne is a great product!! I use it in combination with other home gym equipment for a warm up and cardio boost between sets. I also use it to warm up before Softball games or other physical activities. The only cons are the noise and the seat does not adjust down far enough for those of us with very short legs.

I ride 40 miles a week and have ridden for over 20 years. I am hooked. Wed 10 miles, Fri 10 miles and Sunday 20 miles. Don't have to worry about dogs and cars. With the reading stand, I can get through the Sunday paper in a sweat.

I use the Airdyne for general fitness. I especially like the way you can work both your upper and lower body. I sometimes use only my arms to move the flywheel. A great buy and I would purchase another when this one wears out whenever that will be.

First of all...I am a girl...and a girl that is not very mechanically inclined so the setup was left to my husband. If I had to do it myself...It would still be in the garage and I would still be crying. The bike is however a great workout and appears to be sturdy enough to last practically forever. I ride 30 mintes a day to try to maintain my current level of fatness lol. I am always soaked and sore by the time I'm done. I have it on the patio and watch TV while riding to make the time go by a little faster...but in Florida it's pretty hot on the old patio most of the time! All in all I would say this bike is well worth the money...

I love my Airdyne. I workout an average of 4 to 5 times per week and most of those workouts are with the Airdyne. It is so easy to walk out to my home gym and climb on. I don't have any excuses not to ride. I love the timer on the bike as I'm a nut about data and averages. I can test myself on each ride and really like that feature. I am on my second Airdyne and have logged well over 15,000 miles on them. It does not get boring especially if you set a goal for each ride that requires near maximum effort. I love the fan resistance and push hard to make the workout more intense. My only negative comment is that over time the bike does tend to develop some rust.

we had some trouble with something rubbing which resulted in a very loud whirring sound. We finally figure out that it was the cage that covers the flywheel rubbing on the chain. It is ok now but still slips occasionally. Other than that we love it. The whole family can use it.

I use my bike infrequently but will use it more frequently it makes me feel better when I do. This was a recommendation from my doctor. I just need to be consistent and increase frequency and duration. Overall good workout except for pedal rotation which I can only complete with heels on the pedal. For me the frame is not a totally comfortable fit.

After having three mini strokes and being diabetic also, I use the Schwinn Airdyne daily to control my blood sugar, to increase my cardio vasular fitness, to control my weight, and to increase my general stamina and condition my leys also. I had tried almost all types of exercise machines and have found the Schwinn Airdyne superior. In regards to other bikes, the resistance caused by the air flow with the large wheel does not hurt my knees like most tension-resistance bikes. The seat is well cushioned and comfortable. And the moving arms adds to the overall workout compared to bikes that work only the legs. I find it superior to the steppers, cross country ski machines, and every other cardio vascular system. Since I have a very busy work schedule, I find it better than walking, because I could obtain a mich better workout in ablout 1/3 of the time. The bike is extremely sturdy and well made, and all the parts haev performed very well with daily, riguous use. In comparison to other bikes, it is a little more expensive, but it's high quality construction and far better workout makes it well-worth the investment.

I love this product! While it is a bit loud, the fan really works to cool you down as you're riding, which makes it easier to ride longer. It is very easy to just get on and ride at whatever pace you want. I also like the dual workout that it can provide on those days when it is my only workout. The display also comes in handy because you can monitor speed, miles, and calories as you are riding making it easy to set new goals for your next workout.

Although as a female I find the seat uncomfortable, I love the wind in my face as I pedal toward my goal minutes. I'm sweating up a storm and enjoy the refreshing breeze to keep me cool. The Airdyne is very smooth but has no ability to increase the tension for a more difficult work out.

I dont have very long legs and the pedals are a bit too far away for me. I have to sit on the very edge of the seat and strain to reach. The seat adjusts high but not very low, and the angle of the seat is difficult to adjust also. It is difficult to reach the arms because they move very far forward. This is a TERRIBLE bike for anyone under 5'5" or 5'6". Once I get going it is pretty good, although uncomfortable.

I have a forefront foot condition that resulted from a rheumatologist condition. Because of this condition it is very difficult to walk. The bike has been a savoir on bad weather days when I cannot bike in the great outdoors. It is well built and has been a savoir for my leg muscles during bad weather days. My husband and I purchased our Schwinn Airdyne when I was pregnant with my first child. My first child is now sixteen years old and I still ride this bike regularly as part of a cross training regimine. Many parts relating to the bearings/pedals/crank have been replaced more than once. Luckily a local bike/fitness shop owner will stop by the house to make repairs.
The book/magazine stand is a necessity for me, without it, riding would be boring.
I remedied the cold wind by simply putting duct tape over the fender. I left some gaps in order to get some breeze, but only just enough to be comfortable. Regarding increasing your fitness level, pedal harder and longer for best results. It's that simple.

I was first introduced to the Airdyne while going through physical therapy following a pretty bad car wreck. The therapist would stick me on the bike for about 20-30 minutes at a time....a surprisingly good workout. I really wish it was a little easier to find the heart rate accessory.

I use this bike every other day for 40 minutes to compliment my resistance training on alternating days. The workout is nice for upper and lower body aerobics. Assembly is fairly easy. The display is nice. The disign is good (steel frame and parts). The ride is very smooth and solid. I like the wind resistance even though it's a little noisy, but that is normal for this design.

I've used this bike quite a bit. It took a good amount of time to setup but it was pretty straight forward. After about 6-7 months, I have to say that I am fairly satified. The wheels allow it to move easily. It gives me a good all around workout. My gripes would have to be that the heart monitor isn't accurate and the computer timer mount was flimsy. But no biggy, I have my own special watch for both. Some people say its loud, but who cares? Not like a gym or your own personal treadmill isn't. Asides for some minor quality issues and pricing, it's a pretty decent product.
